Sometimes you just have to trust that God is leading you to a good place, even if you’re a bit terrified by the journey.
About two months ago I sent an email to the producers of Coast to Coast AM about being BANNED for three years from Australia. I thought it was a funny and interesting story, especially since the country has followed up their action against me by making it a crime punishable by TEN YEARS IN PRISON for a medical professional like a nurse to express concerns about the safety of vaccines.
I’d appeared as a guest twice before on Coast to Coast, and thought they might be interested in hearing from me again.
Now, regardless of what you believe about vaccines, I think everybody (with the exception of the raving lunatic skeptic community and their pedophile leaders) can agree that imprisoning medical professionals for expressing doubts about a pharmaceutical company product is INSANE.
I didn’t hear anything back until last week when the producers emailed me and asked if I’d appear on the show.
“To talk about Australia?” I asked.
“We were hoping you could talk about the school shooting in Florida.”
Let me think about that one, God. I asked to be on a show which often gets a MILLION listeners a night, and in return I get a YES, but they want me to talk about the autistic school shooter who was probably on anti-depressants.
OKAY. COUNT ME IN.
Coast to Coast often asks you to put together a little introduction, along with 10-15 questions you’d like to be asked, then the host, George Noory, picks the ones he’s most interested in, and might add a few of his own.
They called at the appointed time, then told me George likes to open the show with his thoughts on news of the day, so it might be 15-20 minutes until he brings me on.
The Reverend Billy Graham, spiritual counselor to twelve Presidents, and a figure respected by millions across the world had just died, so George opened up the show talking about Graham, and how he had been one of the towering figures of the century.
There was a quick interview with country singer and actor, Pat Boone, a good friend of Graham’s, then there was me.
Yeah, there’s three names that go together. Billy Graham, Pat Boone, and Kent Heckenlively. No reason to feel intimidated or over my head.
PLEASE HELP ME, GOD. DON’T LET ME FREEZE UP!
George gave me a nice introduction (most of which I’d written), then asked about Australia.
I gave a brief recap of how the producers of the documentary, VAXXED: From Cover-up to Catastrophe had been hassled during their film tour of Australia. The key moment for me was when I interviewed producer Polly Tommey, and she told me how at the airport an immigration agent had detained her for forty-five minutes and told her that if the authorities “knew what she was coming to talk about, they never would have let her into the country.”
One thing God knows about Kent Heckenlively is that he hates bullies.
God also knows that Kent Heckenlively has a razor-sharp wit.
I detailed how in addition to my application to visit Australia on a lecture tour entitled “Dangerous Science” I wrote a very PUBLIC LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER MALCOLM TURNBULL in which I expressed the hope he would GREET ME AT THE AIRPORT when I arrived. If that was inconvenient, I could just as easily take an Uber to his residence for our discussions.
I also let him know I didn’t want him to make a fuss over my visit, but if he did feel the overwhelming need to honor me for my work, I would accept the “Order of Australia, Commander of the Empire” award since it sounded like something Winston Churchill might receive.
BIG SECRET – I was never going to Australia. My home life with a severely autistic daughter is so hectic that if I’m ten minutes late arriving home I get a call from my lovely wife.
BUT THEY DIDN’T KNOW THAT. Instead, the Australian authorities went into hysterical overdrive. I was denounced in the Australian parliament by Immigration Minister, Peter Dutton, and articles about my banning appeared in the BBC, Buzzfeed, the Guardian, and the South China News. Funny, but none of these venerable newspapers thought to call me for a comment. Fake news, indeed.
What they did do, though, was steal a picture from my Facebook account to plaster on their articles. Too bad, though for the lazy SOBS, but the only one they could find was a picture of me in front of the US Capitol looking like I was running for Congress.
Funny how the picture doesn’t match with the headline. “DANGEROUS AMERICAN CAN’T BE ALLOWED INTO AUSTRALIA!”
Then there’s me, with my short hair, square-jawed, dazzling friendly smile, All-American man look, and it just doesn’t fit. I’m thinking somebody might have gotten chewed out over such a spectacular failure of persuasion.
George asked a number of other questions from my proposed list, then asked about the Florida shooter.
“The mercury generation grew up,” I replied, taking a deep breath. “The most over-vaccinated group of kids in history is now in their teens and twenties, and they are suffering.” I recounted how vaccines derange the immune system, leading to psychological problems, and their overwrought parents put them on anti-depressants, which can trigger suicidal and homicidal rage in males from the ages of 15-24, then cited a large European study.
We talked about that for a little while, then moved into some other questions.
When George came back from break he said, “Kent, I’m enjoying our discussion so much, but I’ve been reading some of the email from listeners and here’s one. ‘George, your guest is insane.’ Kent, how do you respond to that?”
I’d been thinking that at some point this question would be asked, so I was prepared.
“George, the listeners probably don’t know all of the research I’ve conducted in the writing of my two books, PLAGUE and INOCULATED. So the best way for them to determine whether or not I’m insane is to consider whether any of the suggestions I’ve made as to how to fix these problems are crazy.”
“Okay,” George replied.
“I’ve only made three suggestions. First, if you are accused of a mass shooting, we should be able to get your medical records to know what medications you were on and if there are any patterns.”
“Two, we should do long-term studies of vaccinated and never vaccinated children to determine health outcomes.”
“Three, if vaccines are as safe as sugar water as the pharmaceutical companies and their allies claim, we should immediately repeal the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act which gives COMPLETE IMMUNITY TO PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES FOR INJURY OR DEATH CAUSED BY THEIR PRODUCTS.”
“Do any of those suggestions sound insane to you, George?”
“Nope,” he replied. “Sounds pretty damned sensible.”
Thank God I made it through. And the next day my book, INOCULATED: How Science Lost its Soul in Autism, was #1 on Amazon in the “Public Health” section.
Day by day, we will win this fight.
Kent’s book PLAGUE was released by Skyhorse Publishing in 2014 and is now available in paperback. Skyhorse also publishes the work of Mo Yan, the 2012 recipient of the Nobel Prize in literature.
The book is co-authored with Judy Mikovits PhD. It is an indictment of the “Fake Science” we find so prevalent in the US.
