What is Trump’s Next Health Care Move?

Opinion by “Deplorable” Consumer Advocate Tim Bolen

We all watched the drama unfolding over the FAILED so-called Repeal of ObamaCare by the Republican Party majority in Congress.  As our Donald pointed out to Republicans “You claimed for seven years to want to get rid of ObamaCare.  When you got the chance to do it, you blew it…”

Of course, the fact that “399 of 435 US Representatives, and 97 of 100 US Senators WALLOW in 2016 election cycle Big Pharma cash” ABSOLUTELY had something to do with that LACK OF PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITY.

“As president Trump says of Big Pharma: “They contribute massive amounts of money to political people,” Trump said during an impromptu news conference, turning to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who was standing to his side. “I don’t know, Mitch, maybe even to you.

It is VERY clear to everyone in the United States that Big Pharma has to go in order to get a REAL health care system in the US.

So, what did Trump do?

He went to the States and got the individual State Attorney Generals to sue, and criminally prosecute, specific segments of Big Pharma (Opioid, and Generics) sending a STRONG message to Big Pharma.  The message – there is a new Sheriff in town.

Did Big Pharma listen?  Nope.  They called their buddy Mitch McConnell and gave him his marching orders – telling him to frustrate Donald at every turn – to let Donald know “Who is really boss in Washington DC.”

So, now, it’s the Showdown at the OK Corral.”

Three things need to happen…

(1)  Trump has to use his “Executive power” to STOP Big Pharma from advertising directly to the American public.  He can do this with a pen-stroke.

(2)  Trump needs a MAJOR shake-up at the federal health care agencies responsible for, supposedly, regulating health care.  They are COMPLETELY CONTROLLED by the very people they are supposed to regulate.

(3)  Trump needs to put an entirely different US health care package in place.  The current system was “modern” in 1952.

The United States of America became great because of its promotion of innovation in our society.  Except for health care.

Innovation in US Health Care is discouraged in favor of “Five Minute Medicine.”

What is “Five Minute Medicine.”

There are two kinds of health care available in the United States – (a)  Conventional – the one insurance pays for, and except for Emergency Room Services, isn’t worth the powder to blow it to hell, and (b) Underground Medicine – that which smart and rich people pay for – and it actually works.

“Five Minute Medicine” is the practical application of Conventional medicine.  It is where everyone experiences EXACTLY the same thing when seeking health care for a problem.  You make an appointment to see a “doctor.”  You wait two weeks for an appointment.  You arrive for your appointment and wait twenty minutes to “see the doctor.”  You are taken to a room where “someone” asks you questions and types into a computer.  Then you wait ten more minutes for “the doctor.”   The “doctor” comes in, sits down in front of the computer and begins to type.  They MIGHT even ask you why you are here today.  This computer typing, with some questions, goes on for three minutes. THEN “the doctor,” during the remainder of your allotted “Five Minutes,”  writes out your new prescriptions, either on a prescription pad, or into the computer – and YOU ARE DONE.

DONE?  Yup – that’s all you get. Now you can go stand in the pharmacy line for forty-five minutes.

Did that activity restore your health?  Of course not.

And, just think, THAT system is bankrupting the American Public.

So, what is our Donald’s next move?

Smile here…

Let me put this US health care problem into perspective.  If YOU were the President of the United States and YOU wanted to find somebody to solve the problems at the federal health care agencies, what, exactly, would you look for?

How about finding a person who had insider knowledge of both the industries regulated and the agencies that regulate?    Even better if that person was NOT particularly HAPPY with the current health care situation and made that very clear?

How about finding a person who was FIRED as the US President of one of the largest Pharma companies – one who made vaccines?

How about if this person, after being fired, had started their own consultant company PROMOTING innovation in health care?

Hmmmm?

His name is Alex Azar, and he was the former president of Eli Lilly.  He was most definitely an insider – pushed OUTSIDE – not as much, I’d say, as Andy Wakefield was, but hey…

I think things are beginning to heat up…

Stay tuned…

  1. From his wikipedia bio: Healthcare policy[edit]
Azar has been a critic of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and stated in 2017 that “There will be a piece of legislation passes this year that is called the repeal of Obamacare. I don’t know what’s going to be in the substance of it, but there will be a piece of legislation that says that.”[16] Azar has also stated on the ACA that the Department of Health and Human Services has latitude to “make it work a little better.”[13]

  2. Off topic here but……with all the sex scandals, why don`t people use like thought to contest physical assault with vaccinations? Really the same thing.

  3. There is hope…. Working in Health care for the last 30yrs ( Newborn Nursery) These newborns are doomed . Moms receiving the Flu and Dtap and then hours after birth the HepB!!! Something or someone has gotta give here. I will ask a mom if they know why their newborn needs the HepB most haven’t a clue, even after I EXPLAIN it to them they still want it!!!
The other day I asked a Pediatrician what’s going to happen if Trump repeals the 1986 Vaccine bill? He asked me what that was!!!

  4. I admire Dr. John Virapen very, very much. He risks his own life every time he speaks out. Another hero in my book, is Gwen Olsen, another former Big Pharma sales rep, now whistle-blower. Her website is at: http://gwenolsen.com/
