WE WON!!! – Monsanto Must Pay $289 Million in Damages for Round-Up

Today, I really don’t care if you are a Republican, a Democrat, a Libertarian, or unaffiliated with any political party.  Today is a “We” day…

As President John F. Kennedy once said, “Our most common basic link is that we all inhabit this planet.  We breathe the same air.  We cherish our children’s future.  And we are all mortal.”

On the afternoon of Friday, August 10, 2018, just a few hours ago, in fact, a jury in San Francisco, CA delivered a stunning verdict against the chemical giant Monsanto and its herbicide, Round-Up.  The chemical glyphosate is used in Round-Up and has been identified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as a probable human carcinogen.

You can read this account from the San Francisco Chronicle:

The jury not only found Monsanto liable…

…but ordered the company to pay $2.3 million dollars in economic losses to DeWayne “Lee” Johnson, $37 million dollars for pain and suffering, and $250 million dollars in punitive damages.  In total, Monsanto must pay $289 million dollars.  Hopefully, the death knell has been sounded for Round-Up and a new environmental activism of both the left and the right can spring up.

This is a remarkable victory.

To fully understand the implications of this decision, I encourage readers to look again at my recent interview with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. about this case.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. – The Case Against Monsanto and Glyphosate

Glyphosate has been linked not only to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but other auto-immune conditions, as well as autism.

In my interview, Kennedy also expressed his opinion that the use of Round-Up was leading to widespread catastrophe in the environment, including an unprecedented drop in populations of the Monarch butterfly.

I genuinely believe this may be looked back upon as a hinge-point in history, the moment where the Gilded Age of corporate lies about pesticides and other chemicals may finally be judged under the harsh light of truth.

I am encouraging all political leaders, of the right and left, to take this moment to think about the future of humanity and our planet.

Pray and pray BIG that our leaders in the state houses and Washington D.C, will seize this moment to do the right thing.

  1. My question is: Since Monsanto was bought by Bayer, is there any way they will be able to collect this money? It is my understanding that Bayer has dropped the Monsanto name, undoubtedly to keep Europeans from knowing the horrors within.

  2. What about the billions of people sick from the nutrition damage it is doing to all of our food. Magnesium depletion for starters. Same for mercury (Bayer?).
Allopathic (pharma) medicine ( Allways treat symptoms never the cause as this would disappear all their customers ) totally controls the AMA and ADA . Research both sides of “magnesium depletion” to connect mercury to all diseases, cancer and symptoms.

  3. Hallelujah! Thank God and thank you Robert, Kent, and all who are actively working to rid our nation and world of this evil product. What an awesome victory and hopefully the first of many more to come. I pray that God will bless you and keep guardian angels surrounding you to protect from harm and from evil.

  4. I personally don’t believe much in miracles as a daily or a regular occasion but this time it has happened. This is a wonderful progress toward something positive at this age of chaos and confusion. Monsanto, the second evilest corporation, next to Big Pharma found out, at last. My burning question is of course: Will Big Pharma too, be called and stand a purge for all the evils committing against humanity with their reckless vaccination programs. Robert Kennedy done an excellent work against Monsanto and as is in partnership with Del Bigtree successfully went deep int the rabbit hole and discovered the unthinkable, that since ’87 there is no any evidence that vaccines, as they became more and more aggressively pushed on the worldwide population actually went unchecked, uncontrolled unquestioned, despite the fact that the evidence clearly present was simply ignored, denied, ridiculed. We are well aware of the obstacles in a way, bribery, turf defending and all that. But this crime that is committed against the whole human race, our most precious, most vulnerable, most defenseless. The children who have no voice nor choice in the matter. May God hear all the cries and prayers of all those parents whose children became victims to this unspeakable, unscientific, unethical, senselessness. Will mankind wake up and shake off this encroaching evil for once and for ever?Big Pharma is like the terrifying Wild Beast of the book of the Revelations: “Who can stand against and wage a war with this beast?” Well…who indeed?

  5. Wow! This is increible! I am a new subscriber/reader here but have been reading all your past posts, thank you for ALL the great information! This is such an incredible victory, I am not sure what will happen next. But its one step in the right direction.

  6. I am!!! I became death to the crooked politicians bought and paid for by crooked corporations, destroyers of the world!!!

    Were at the crashing point!

    mene mene tekel

God bless all for there tenacity! This might not be a win, but it’s a big kick in the nuts to those that have ruined millions lives!

    HERE COMES THOR’S HAMMER!!

  7. If the EPA was doing its job, this lawsuit would not have happened. Some interesting analogies come to mind. Of course the CDC is analogous to the EPA, except that the CDC is arguably more corrupt. As is Monsanto to the EPA, so is Merck to the CDC. As is Michael R. Taylor to the federal government, so is Richard

  8. We did win ……Italy too !

Prediction : we will win all across the board.

We have the science, they have lies .

  9. Regarding the appeal.

It is my understanding there are 4000 other legal actions against glyphosate queuing up in the wings :

    • Today, Bayer shares were down 11 percent at 83.04 euros at 0915 GMT, the worst performing stock on the Stoxx Europe 600 index.1
    • Glyphosate-exposed stocks also plunged in Asia and particularly in Australia where a withering drought has already hit herbicide sales.2
    • Australian chemical maker Nufarm Ltd (NUF.AX), which Macquarie Bank analysts estimate earns about a fifth of its revenue from glyphosate-based products, plunged almost 17 percent to a more than two-year low.3
    • And its top shareholder, Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical Co Ltd (4005.T), shed 3 percent, while Australian rural services firm Elders Ltd (ELD.AX), which retails herbicides, fell 11 percent to a nine-month low.4
