Fallout From The Senate Hearings Trying To “Canonize” Vaccines…

I really want to like Rand Paul. In fact, my fondest wish is that he reads this article and considers what I have to say.
He has more courage then just about any person in Congress, but if you approach the enemy with a flawed plan you’re going to get obliterated. I don’t like to waste our soldiers in futile battles. Brave men with foolish plans are no help at all.
I’m going to give you Rand Paul’s comments from the recent propaganda fest on March 5 in the Senate on the marvels of vaccines. I want to let him speak in entirety, then I’ll tell you what is so flawed about what he said.
Paul’s comments are typical of why the health freedom community is losing so often. He sounds like a professor when we need to be warriors. This is not a pleasant academic debate.
This is a bare-knuckled brawl for the survival of the human species.
Here in his own words is Senator Paul:
For much of modern history, science and freedom have lived in relative harmony. Traditionally, as medical discoveries came about, smallpox or polio vaccines, anti-sepsis or anti-biotics, the results were so overwhelming that over time the vast majority of the public accepted these advances voluntarily.
In fact, innovations like the smallpox vaccine had to initially overcome great public prejudice. Dr. Zebidiel Boylston learned about the Middle-Eastern technique from the servant Onesimus for the famous Pastor Cotton Mather. His first patient was his son, an incredibly brave choice. The consensus of the medical community was entirely opposed to him at the time.
The vaccine was a live vaccine and as Dr. Woolston learned that about 1 in 50 would die from the vaccine. And yet the death rate from smallpox was approximately fifty percent. The government did not mandate the vaccine, though. But within two generations it was accepted enough that George Washington insisted that Martha be vaccinated with the smallpox vaccine before visiting him in the military camps.
Today, though, instead of persuasion, many governments have taken to mandating a whole host of vaccines, including vaccines for non-lethal diseases. Sometimes these vaccine mandates have run amok, as when the government mandated a rota-virus vaccine that was later recalled because it was causing intestinal blockage in children. I’m not a fan of government coercion. Yet given the choice I believe the benefits of most vaccines vastly outweigh the risks.
Yet it is wrong to say there are no risks to vaccines. Even the government admits that children are sometimes injured by vaccines. Since 1988 more than $4 billion dollars has been paid out from the vaccine injury compensation program. Despite the government admitting and paying more than $4 billion dollars for vaccine injuries, no informed consent is used or required when you vaccinate your child.
This may be the only medical procedure in today’s world where an informed consent is not required. Now proponents of mandatory government vaccination argue that parents who refuse to vaccinate their children risk spreading these diseases to the immuno-compromised community.
There doesn’t appear to be enough evidence of this happening to be reported as a statistic, but it could happen. But if the fear of this is valid, are we to find that next we’ll be mandating flu vaccines? Between 12 and 56 thousand die from the flu or are said to die from the flu in America and it’s estimated to be a few hundred from measles. So I guess those who are after us for the measles will be after us on the flu next.
Yet the current science only allows for educated guessing when it comes to the flu vaccine. Each year before that flu vaccine’s strain is known, the scientists put their best guesses into that year’s vaccine. Some years it’s completely wrong. We vaccinate with the wrong strain.
Yet five states already mandate flu vaccines. Is it really appropriate to mandate a vaccine that more often than not vaccinates for the wrong flu strain? As we contemplate forcing parents to choose this or that vaccine I think it’s important to remember that force is not consistent with the American story. Nor is force consistent with the liberty our forefathers sought when they came to America.
I don’t think you have to have one or the other, though. I’m not here to say don’t vaccinate your kids. If this hearing is for persuasion, I’m all for persuasion. I vaccinated myself. I vaccinated my kids. For myself and my children I believe the benefits of vaccines greatly outweigh the risks.
But I still do not favor giving up on liberty for a false sense of security. Thank you.
If we lived in the little girl world of rainbows, flying unicorns, and public health officials who did their job I might be inclined to agree with Senator Paul.
The real world we live in is the one Robert Kennedy, Jr. talks about when he reports that whenever Congress has looked at the vaccine program they find it to be a “cesspool of corruption.”
In the world of Rand Paul there’s no acknowledgment that when the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) looked at the question of thimerosal and vaccines in 2000 they were so terrified of what they found they ran away to the Simpsonwood Retreat Center to talk about it with their scientists and representatives of the pharmaceutical industry. Then they decided to wash the data so many times until the signal was too difficult to detect.
In the world of Rand Paul, he doesn’t seem to know about CDC whistle-blower, Dr. William Thompson, who with others looked into Dr. Andrew Wakefield’s claim of a link between autism and the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) shot. When the results showed a link, especially among African-American males, they covered up the link, even going so far as to schedule a Saturday meeting at the CDC to destroy the data. In the world of Rand Paul, he doesn’t seem to know about Dr. Andrew Zimmerman, the government’s own medical witness in the Omnibus Autism Hearings who told government lawyers in 2007 that vaccines could cause autism in some children (probably about 30% of autism cases). Of course, less then forty-eight hours after he told them this opinion, they kicked him out of the case, and then proceeded to misrepresent his testimony.
I know that others can find many other flaws in Paul’s brief remarks and those criticisms would support my own.
Senator Paul, you are not a champion of health freedom. You are the Captain of Team Loser.
You need to improve your game and apparent knowledge before you speak for us again.

The problem with Rand Paul is that he not very courageous at all. I would say currently Ilhan Omar shows far more courage and clarity than Paul. It is this wishy washy Paul stuff that has enabled him to remain in Congress so long since he really speaks for nothing most of the time.
But you are right–his comments come no where’s close to raising the issue as did those of Omar. And Paul leads nothing as he does not organize any base to raise the flag of freedom of health choice nor does he address the corporate control of congress especially by Big Pharma. Now that would have rung a bell resonant of the comments of Omar about AIPAC having so much control of this country. Nor does he even whisper about the loyalty to Big Pharma due to money as Omar raises about the demand for an American to sign loyalty to a foreign country. Why should Americans be loyal to a private, money hungry, fear mongering industry? No courage in Paul at all.
Thank you Kent for writing this article! I couldn’t agree with you more! Sen. Rand Paul should have brought up every point you listed here, but he didn’t! IMHO, he knows all this and planned not to use it! Honestly, i think he said what he did to quiet our side, to make us think he is on our side! He Is Not On Our Side At All!
There are many, many other problems with his lack of knowledge of the subject:-
1) Smallpox was eradicated DESPITE, not because of vaccines. Improved hygiene and isolation of the sick are what eliminated it so effectively that 90% of the WHO planned vaccination was never carried out because the disease had already disappeared.
2) There are no “hundreds of measles deaths”.
In the last ten years in the USA there has been precisely one – a case in which so many other health issues were present that it is not possible to say with any certainty what the cause of death was. In the same period, according to the government VAERS programme, the measles vaccine killed 105 children. Measles vaccination is, thereby, shown to be at least 105 times deadlier than not vaccinating.
3) Flu is NOT an illness but a natural detoxification process. It is largely an emotional detox which is why you always look and feel younger afterwards. The correct course of action is not to seek to suppress it but to speed it up and to intensify it.
4) If unvaccinated children can, as is claimed, spread disease into the vaccination population then this is an open admission that vaccination offers NO protection and is, at best, a complete waste of time and money.

So exasperating! What happened to all representatives reading a copy of, How To End the Autism Epidemic by J.B. Handley? Everyone of them received a copy. The only safe place here is in prayer. Eventually everything hidden will be revealed. Lord have mercy.
I somewhat agree with your assessment of Ron Paul’s comments, but he is referring to the long game. You are playing a short game.
He could and should have expounded on the corruption involved with pharmaceuticals in general. That really wasn’t his point though.
His point was I don’t need to nor should I have to explain anything to anyone regarding my choice of medical treatment. Its my choice, not the government.
If I need a good explanation to have my liberty, then what liberty do I really have to begin with?
Ron Paul, Rand’s father said: “Freedom to make bad decisions is inherent in the freedom to make good ones. If we are only free to make good decisions, we are not really free.”
Your contention is that because the vaccine can’t be trusted, we can’t force it on people. So the next logical argument will be “its been proven to be safe and effective by whoever” now we can force it on you. Largely the arguement used now although it depends on which vaccine being discussed.
Rand Paul, and especially his fathers contention is that it doesn’t matter good, bad, indifferent, its not the governments business. We either have liberty or we don’t. Which is it?
Ah, the immunocompromised people. He must have missed that it’s becoming harder and harder to get medical exemptions. Being immunocompromised often doesn’t give you the right for an exemption to all vaccines. At best just a few, at worst no exemption at all.
The story that we need herd immunity to protect those who can’t get vaccines is quickly falling apart.
Listening to Gary Null today when he noted an article in the Jn of Clinical Microbiology that just came out. The article described a study of the genetic markers of the measles of these people who came down with the disease. All of them had measles from the vaccine itself. Null described how the vaccine keeps getting expressed via breathe/coughing/sneezing and physical contact for some time after its administration. So now there is a way to get proof perfect of what/who is actually causing these miniscule outbreaks.
He definitely needs to read ‘Dissolving Illusions’ by Suzanne Humphries which dissects the whole history of vaccines and contagious diseases. And the biggest question to ask is, “Why are American kids getting over seventy different vaccine doses when most other countries don’t?” Compulsory government education basically creates a captive market for the pharmaceutical companies and a ready supply of guinea pigs, for this kind of ritualistic torture that’s somehow considered health care. And why not compare heavily vaccinated kids to those in the Amish community, who don’t get vaccinated? That would certainly reveal a lot. So let’s send the good Dr. Paul some enlightening homework and maybe it will also fire his activist passion. We sure need him fully on our side!
Rand Paul defends the right to be stupid while praising vaccines. How about coming down hard on scientific fraud, including the claim that the unvaccinated endanger the vaccinated? Arrest Poul Thorsen. Supoena William Thompson. Recall all vaccines with toxic placebos. Sanction the attorneys who misrepresented Zimmerman. Charge Fauci with perjury. Drain the swamp.

Karma, totally agree. I got two paragraphs into Rand Paul’s dogmatic drivel there and found it so painful I figured it was a waste of time reading any further. It isn’t rational to tolerate the underpinnings of pseudoscience as a baseline for considering its conclusions. The whole construct is tosh from the ground up and needs thrown out.
