Part One – EVERYONE KNOWS that Big Pharma completely controls the liberal Main Stream Media…

The Harm to America Is IMMENSE…

It is time to stop Big Phama’s Direct To Consumer Advertising (DTCA)… THAT Will Solve the Problem…

Opinion by “Deplorable” Consumer Advocate Tim Bolen

Five days before the Inauguration of our President, January 15th, 2017, Donald Trump told the Washington Post, speaking of Big Pharma “They’re politically protected, but not anymore.”

During the next five days the liberal media tried to whip America into a frenzy, clearly trying to disrupt that Inauguration, and even possibly getting our President assassinated.  Why would they do that?  Because the handwriting was on the wall.  NEVER before had a sitting President of the United States properly identified the problem with Big Pharma so clearly and concisely and announced his plans to do something about it.

Trump’s statements about Big Pharma were not just limited to the phrase “They’re politically protected, but not anymore.”  He has had much more to say – you just won’t find it in the liberal media.

Let me show you what Trump knows…

From The American Dream publication comes an interesting 2014 article by  titled “30 Million Americans On Antidepressants And 21 Other Facts About America’s Endless Pharmaceutical Nightmare”

The article points out:

#1 According to the New York Times, more than 30 million Americans are currently taking antidepressants.

#2 The rate of antidepressant use among middle aged women is far higher than for the population as a whole.  At this point, one out of every four women in their 40s and 50s is taking an antidepressant medication.

#3 Americans account for about five percent of the global population, but we buy more than 50 percent of the pharmaceutical drugs.

#4 Americans also consume a whopping 80 percent of all prescription painkillers.

#5 It is hard to believe, but doctors in the United States write 259 million prescriptions for painkillers each year.  Prescription painkillers are some of the most addictive legal drugs, and our doctors are serving as enablers for millions up0n millions of Americans that find themselves hooked on drugs that they cannot kick.

#6 Overall, pharmaceutical drug use in America is at an all-time high.  According to a study conducted by the Mayo Clinic, nearly 70 percent of all Americans are on at least one prescription drug, and 20 percent of all Americans are on at least five prescription drugs.

#7 According to the CDC, approximately 9 out of every 10 Americans that are at least 60 years old say that they have taken at least one prescription drug within the last month.

#8 In 2010, the average teen in the United States was taking 1.2 central nervous system drugs.  Those are the kinds of drugs which treat conditions such as ADHD and depression.

#9 A very disturbing Government Accountability Office report found that approximately one-third of all foster children in the United States are on at least one psychiatric drug.

#10 An astounding 95 percent of the “experimental medicines” that the pharmaceutical industry produces are found not to be safe and are never approved.  Of the remaining 5 percent that are approved, we often do not find out that they are deadly to us until decades later.

#11 One study discovered that mothers that took antidepressants during pregnancy were four times more likely to have a baby that developed an autism spectrum disorder.

#12 It has been estimated that prescription drugs kill approximately 200,000 people in the United States every single year.

#13 An American dies from an unintentional prescription drug overdose every 19 minutes.  According to Dr. Sanjay Gupta, accidental prescription drug overdose is “the leading cause of acute preventable death for Americans”.

#14 In the United States today, prescription painkillers kill more Americans than heroin and cocaine combined.

#15 According to the CDC, approximately three quarters of a million people a year are rushed to emergency rooms in the United States because of adverse reactions to pharmaceutical drugs.

#16 The number of prescription drug overdose deaths in the United States is five times higher than it was back in 1980.

#17 A survey conducted for the National Institute on Drug Abuse found that more than 15 percent of all U.S. high school seniors abuse prescription drugs.

#18 More than 26 million women over the age of 25 say that they are “using prescription medications for unintended uses“.

#19 If all of these antidepressants are helping, then why are more Americans killing themselves?  The suicide rate for Americans between the ages of 35 and 64 increased by nearly 30 percent between 1999 and 2010.  The number of Americans that die by suicide is now greater than the number of Americans that die as a result of car accidents every year.

#20 Antidepressant use has been linked to mass shootings in America over and over and over again, and yet the mainstream media is eerily quiet about this. Is it because they don’t want to threaten one of their greatest sources of advertising revenue?

#21 The amount of money that the pharmaceutical industry is raking in is astronomical.  It has been reported that Americans spent more than 280 billion dollars on prescription drugs during 2013.

If many of these drugs were not so addictive, the pharmaceutical companies would make a lot less money.  And pharmaceutical drug addicts often don’t fit the profile of what we think a “drug addict” would look like.  For example, CNN shared the story of a 55-year-old grandmother named Cynthia Scudo that become addicted to prescription painkillers…

All of these problems stem from the simple fact that “we the people” have allowed Big Pharma to control our media with their advertising dollars.

In the article quoted above laments:

“Has there ever been a nation more hooked on drugs than the United States?  And I am not just talking about illegal drugs – the truth is that the number of Americans addicted to legal drugs is far greater than the number of Americans addicted to illegal drugs.

Snyder finishes with:

There is lots and lots of money to be made from addiction.  In fact, if the U.S. health care system was a totally separate nation it would actually be the 6th largest economy on the entire globe.  We are talking about piles of money larger than most people would ever dare to imagine.

And with so much money floating around, it is quite easy for the pharmaceutical industry to buy the cooperation of our politicians and of the media.

Some time when you are watching television in the evening, consciously take note of how often a pharmaceutical commercial comes on.

It has gotten to the point where we are literally being inundated with these ads.

They are already making hundreds of billions of dollars, and they think that there is room for even more growth.

Will they ever be satisfied?

There is Nothing Accidental About ANY of These Situations…

Big Pharma uses the liberal media to ACHIEVE this situation.

How?

Ever watch the Evening News?  It is completely designed to give viewers a “the world is a horrible, hopeless place…” picture.

Shootings, car chases, gang activity, children shot, citizens raped, a portrayal of America as supposedly in racial strife, cops-killing-everyone, hate everywhere – are MSM TYPICAL offerings on the Evening News.

Why?

Re-read, right now, points #1, 2, 11, 18, 19, and 20 above.  Big Pharma is doing this INTENTIONALLY.

MSM encourages ANTIFA, making them look like something other than the well-paid roving band of luxury-bussed-from-town-to-town violent pea-brained RODENTS they actually are.

Can We Get Rid of Direct To Consumer Advertising (DTCA)?

Yup – easily.

Last March of 2017 I wrote an article titled: “We Need to Make Big Pharma Little Pharma…”

In it I made two important points:

(1)  What the huge  AARP says of this…

“AARP has long supported a wide variety of policies that will help reduce prescription drug prices, and we plan to let President Trump and Congress know exactly what they can do. For example, we believe that the secretary of Health and Human Services should have the authority to negotiate lower drug prices on behalf of millions of Medicare beneficiaries. In addition, we believe that we should reduce barriers to global price competition by allowing for the safe importation of lower-priced drugs. There is no reason for Americans to continue paying the highest prescription drug prices in the world.

President Trump clearly agrees, and our plan is to work with him and with Congress to stop drug companies from overcharging seniors and all taxpayers.”

(2)  Trump can simply, by Presidential Executive Order cancel Direct To Consumer Advertising (DTCA) of drugs.  It is all part of FDA rules put in place since 1938.  Trump can shut down the advertising of drugs to the American public with a pen-stroke.  Only the US and New Zealand allow DTCA world-wide.

Liberal Mainstream Media would be destroyed overnight, for it is more than half of their income.  I like this move a lot.

“We the People” elected Donald Trump as President of the United States – NOT Big Pharma…

MATTHEW BOYLE, over at Breitbart  last January 17th, 2017 wrote about majority leader Paul Ryan’s position on what Trump was up to regarding Big Pharma.  Boyle said:

“Trump’s comments sent the pharmaceutical industry, according to Fortune Magazine, into a financial tailspin. So naturally, Ryan–the donor class’s representative in Washington–rode into the rescue and to fight Trump.

Ryan, in response in an interview with Mike Allen of Axios, said that he wants to “have more conversations about” Trump’s efforts to crack down on Big Pharma corruption before the president-elect—soon to be president—does so.

“I believe that the current premium support system with Part D works extremely well,” Ryan said. “I think there’s some real success stories … and I think we need to tell that story.”

When asked by Allen if that also means telling such stories to Trump, he replied that the story needs to be told to “a lot of people.”

Our Battle Lines are Clearly Drawn.

Stay tuned…

  1. Snyder’s running for COPNgress in Northern Idaho. We need people like him in CONgress. Even a couple bucks would help him.

Idaho District 1 Republican Congressional Candidate, Michael Snyder, is building a movement of patriots to drain the swamp in Washington D.C

    ABOUT MICHAEL
I am not a professional politician. For the last seven years, I have been touching millions of people all over the planet through my websites, my books, my videos and my frequent radio and television interviews. My wife and I truly love our very quiet life in Bonners Ferry, but now we feel called to try to fight for the future of this country. I have a two-year-old daughter named Atarah, and I often wonder what the future is going to hold for her. Because if America stays on this current path there isn’t going to be any sort of a positive future for this nation. What we need is a “second American Revolution”. It won’t be a revolution with guns and bullets, but rather one of ideas, values and principles. Every generation of Americans has had to fight for liberty and freedom, and now it is our turn.

  2. The real human right to health care has been corporatized and against the ethos of the Constitution. Life, liberty and pursuit of healthiness without government mandates ghost written by drug companies, broadcast by the biggest facade of free press.

  3. Big Pharma is not going away, Donald Trump isn’t going to MAKE big Pharma small. Not only did he bring these corporate big wig rich boys into his administration, and many of the others are people he considers friends, but big pharma is too big and too powerful. He can’t do it, even if he wanted to, and I don’t think he really intends to try. I pray I’m wrong, because they need to go, for so many more reasons even than opioid addiction. Don’t even get me started.
I wish I could clear out the swamp for real like he pretended he would, and get rid of the deep state and all the rest. We need a transparent govt that is truly for the people and by the people again, and we haven’t had that in many years. He’s done some good, but some things he isn’t really interested in changing, and some he just won’t be able to. Sad but true.

  4. Ruthanne Raia – In the North American Health Freedom Movement fights agaisnt the Big Pharma menace have been going on as long as i can remember – and, frankly, I don’t remember EVER losing a war with them.

However, THIS is the VERY FIRST time we are talking about taking the fight to them. When Trump announced that intention they called for violence and his assassination.

My guess is that Big Pharma right about now is buying its own diarrhea medicine by the case. Why? Because they have personally pissed off the President of the United States of America.

    Sell your pharmaceutical stock…

  5. I have a tendency to want to agree with the person who commented about the President NOT doing anything about this issue. As much as we would all like to believe that he’s a good guy in a white hat, I keep slowly sliding down the mountainside of supporting him; he’s losing supporters quickly because of some of the decisions he’s been making. I don’t think he has any intention of getting rid of bigphrMA, never did. He’s finding out the swamp is a lot bigger and deeper than he suspected, and if he doesn’t stop surrounding himself with generals and war-mongers, he will not be able to pay any attention to anything that the PEOPLE want. He will be constantly bombarded with war crap. That’s why, up to now, we’ve seen few of his campaign issues even break the surface much less be dealt with. Truth is, he made quite a few promises he knows he can’t keep. And I was a supporter of his, so you can imagine how elated the other side is right now.

Someone recently asked me what my definition of MSM is? I tried to answer but soon became tongue-tied. It’s hard to explain the MSM monster to someone who is buried in the left-wing. Tim, what is your description of “who is the MSM”? Also, I was called a conspiracy theorist because I didn’t happen to believe the same things the left-wingers believe. So now I have a label! Imagine that.
