Autism World – Quit Targeting Mainstream Media… Ignore Them.  They Are NOT Our Friends…

I watched, with dismay, the Autism world,  using social media devices Twitter and Facebook, target certain reporters in mainstream media, trying to get the #CDCWhistleblower story into the hands of the American people.

I thought to myself “Oh My – these people are terribly naive.  They haven’t a clue about mainstream media.  They did little, or no, investigation of their target, nor the audience it serves.  All that effort aimed in EXACTLY the wrong place.” 

More, you should be careful what you ask for – you might get it  – as they found out from a very negative ABC broadcast.

Mainstream media?  All propaganda – no news.

In a book called “The Propaganda ModelEdward S. Herman and Noam Chomsky proposed a concrete model for the filtering processes (biases) of mainstream media, especially in the United States, called the propaganda model. They tested this empirically and presented extensive quantified evidence supporting the model. Through an extensive analysis of the financial roots that drive American news media as well as an in-depth look at coverage of specific news events, Herman and Chomsky demonstrate that mainstream news content represents the political and economic interests of the state and other varied powerful corporate entities. Any content that runs contrary to this status quo faces challenges in establishing mainstream credibility, and is consequently prohibited from being able to contribute to the democratic public sphere. The model is based upon four “filters” that impact news content. These filters are the consolidation of media ownership to a scant few all-powerful corporations, the influence and integration of advertising in mass media, the dubious reliability of experts and sources utilized by the news, and the concept of “flak,” which involves controlled negative responses to media content. They also note the importance of the historical context of anticommunism in the 20th century as a way to see how the mass media is prioritized to deliver a very specific narrative in the news.

In the Health Freedom world that fact is common knowledge. Mainstream media reporters, these days, are no more than street corner prostitutes – they just get paid a little better – sometimes.  More, as Dave Hodges of the Common Sense Show says: CNN’s ratings are in the toilet. The network used to get 6-10 million viewers for their primetime shows, now they get less than 500,000.”  The American public is getting wise to mainstream media – and goes elsewhere for information.

So, WAKE UP Autism World…

Rush Limbaugh, and his radio show, representing what’s called “The Conservative Viewpoint,” is probably one of the best examples of “Alternative Media” and why it flourishes in America.  Rush has 31 million listeners on an average show.  He has coined the name “Drive By Media,” comparing to the term “Drive By Shootings,” for the reality of mainstream.  Shows like Limbaugh’s represent the reaction to the completely controlled mainstream promoting THEIR version of reality.  Rush’s 31 million daily listeners have a different view of America than the few owners of mainstream.  And there are hundreds, if not thousands, of conservative media outlets.  And, as many liberal ones.  More, when you look, you’ll find an alternative media outlet for EVERY public interest out there. The “Alternative Media” outnumbers “Mainstream Media” significantly – so much so that the names should be reversed.

In their book “The Propaganda Model” Herman and Chomsky talk about what’s called “Concentration of Media Ownership.”   Wikipedia says:

“Concentration of media ownership (also known as media consolidation or media convergence) is a process whereby progressively fewer individuals or organizations control increasing shares of the mass media. Contemporary research demonstrates increasing levels of consolidation, with many media industries already highly concentrated and dominated by a very small number of firms.

So let’s ask the question:  Why bother with Mainstream Media at all?

Let’s look too, at what Mainstream Media propaganda promotes – a total lack of ethical and moral order.  It, these days, operates at direct cross purpose to what America was founded on – the Judeo-Christian ethic.  It openly mocks it, as it openly mocks America.  So, why would it surprise anyone that they have no interest in protecting children?  Look, closely, at who owns Mainstream Media.  There is your answer.

So, what about “Alternative Media?”

Examine it carefully.  It is the agent of change. There is much more than what is presented by the Conservative Right, which, by the way, is far larger than just Rush Limbaugh.  Try the Daily Paul’s (Congressman Ron Paul’s) list of sites.

If you haven’t watched Russian TV (RT) yet, do so.  There, you’ll soon find out what is REALLY happening on the streets of America.  If you are not familiar with Young Turks you’re not paying attention.  Then there is Moyers and Company, always in touch.  How about Chris Hedges?  What about George Noory’s Coast-To-Coast?

Alternative Media consistently publishes articles concerning our area of interest – like this in Global Research – “US National Institutes of Health (NIH) Pushing to Vaccinate Entire Countries with Ebola Vaccine.”

There is a website called “End the Lie” which says of itself:  one-stop-shop for the latest alternative news from across the internet, providing points of view from many websites around the world.”

Then there is a website, www.activistpost.com which posts the Top Ten Most Influential People In  Alternative Media.

But, for all practical purposes, let’s not forget the ten million people regularly reached by the Health Freedom world.

Any group, that organized, could make a plan to reach to Alternative Media in a very big way.

Then There Are Other Projects…

What about a cheap, but effective, national Bumper Sticker campaign?  And Yard Signs?

What about the Wikipedia health articles, and throwing the angry young male homosexual skeptics, who control those health articles, off of Wikipedia?  Wouldn’t it be nice to control THAT media?  There is plenty of evidence available to force Wikipedia to dump them – but it would take work.

And then there is the question:  “Do you really want to reach the kind of people who regularly watch: Lizard Lick Towing, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The REAL Housewives of New Jersey, Survivor, or the Evening News?

Think about it.

Stay tuned.  The army is ready, and is learning to be ruthless..  They just need to select better targets.
